After eight hours in a truck and a five hour install the Exterior Motives street art show has arrived in Canberra. Come by Itrip Iskip, 30 Lonsdale St Braddon [ED – next to Debacle], to see works by International superstars Banksy, D*Face, Swoon, Hush and Blek Le Rat as well as some of the best Australian exports like Anthony Lister, Stormie Mills, HA HA AND VEXTA.

And if you have nothing to do on thursday night why don’t you pop in after 6:00 pm for a drink or two at the opening party? Or if thats not your kind of thing we will be here during the shops opening hours until Sunday.

If you want anymore information about the works or the artists you can email nina(at)metrogallery.com.au or sean(at)metrogallery.com.au.

See you there.

Local byrd had some stuff on show, just not in promotion. MiniGraff is a Sydneysider and its a poor reflection on the local scene that the volume of her presence leads to the assumption of local status. Beyond these points it was a nice chance to see some of the more recent work by Aust. artists also in the NGA SpaceInvaders retrospective thing.

ah…so….more promotion to locals of imported art while E.L.K. Tesura MiniGraff et al. go unnoticed…Rona Green may be from Melbourne but at least not NYC…when will we appreciate our own???? Or are are they just ‘not good enough’…maybe time to go to Ikea again…
