The enterprising local kids going under the collective, self applied, name of “Fags” have released their latest masterpiece, a trailer for their movie, on YouTube.

It looks like they’ve taken up Dolly’s call to the Jackass generation, moving on from straight skating fare.

You people are idiots. Clearly the ‘stunts’ are purposefully lame-ass. I believe it’s what’s commonly known as “satire”.

Funkwits.

…most interesting ” fight” I had was a pumpkin fight with the neighbours. Our collective parents were less than impressed (can’t understand why). Super Soakers were invented *just* too late (not that it stopped me building up quite a soaker arsenal). Oh – just remembered the “potato guns”… oh yeah!

Agree on the last sentence (though that would be any Public School).

Well thanks Gerry Built.

By golly we knew how to have real fun back then!!!!!!

We were never bullies the likes of which go to Calwel High of today.

@ Pandy – “The man you are today”??? ie picking on kids for filming their mucking around, editing to a nice, tight, entertaining clip and placing it on YouTube – Wow & *WHAT* a man you are today 😛

So what if it was lame (in your opinion), kept them busy doing something (and don’t we bitch about *that* a hep here), didn’t hurt any animals (‘cept maybe themselves – a little)… you can see they had fun, even if it is not up to “Jackass Standard” or professional film-making standards, and they look all of 14… this clip sure beats filming fights (or other bullying) and posting them on YouTube…

I can already see some talent and skill in what they have produced there (particularly in the editing and pacing). Whilst it is far from the best thing I’ve seen on YouTube, it is certainly *way off* being the worst…

Lion, it was lame. I too engaged in stone fights when I was young, especially at the opposing team riding their bikes. It made the man that I am today.

That hedge scene was certainly one of the greatest cinematic moments I’ve witnessed!

at least they are doing something productive with their hols… I’d be sooooo pleased if some of my Media students turned in work like this…

These kids are simply doing what kids do – lay of ’em… it’s keeping them active and productive… and they are teaching themselves how to use cameras and editing software etc (and probably appreciating classic music too)… BTW they had some great angles, framing and composition too…

Good on ya’s kiddies…! I appreciate ya work!!!

😀

He’s JUST A KID Pandy, stop picking on him.

Some of you remind me of the best band in the world that never bothered to finish its recording.

If your stuff was so much better but you never recorded or published it then it doesn’t really matter.

it was uploaded without my permission anyway

Take your skateboard and crash helmet and run home to mummy Faken. She will kiss “it” better.

You’re destroying public property and you don’t expect some kind of negative reaction?

Serious or not, the video shows you acting like a bunch of tools.

Wow. What a negative bunch of people you are.
This wasn’t even supposed to be serious, and it was uploaded without my permission anyway.

Well, you won’t see me arguing with their chosen movie title.

But http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=q1uZj7OujvU is probably one of the better bits of Youtubery I’ve seen in the week previous…
The scat editing from 1.00 onwards isn’t bad, but where the whole chuch goes mad at 1.39 is great. 🙂

Danman – you up for a proper rock fight next weekend? We can film it and put it on youtube. We’ll be famous!

I’m with Danman, rockfights were cool. My mates and I would also knock each other out while boxing in the backyard. Also, loads of blood lost and interesting medical injuries were had while coming off BMX’s and home made jumps. SO how is engineering an ‘accident’ and filming it supposed to make you ‘hard core’?

Getting hit on the head with a skateboard (softly) while wearing a crash helmet? Pure genius! Jumping off a shed roof into a shrub? Inspired. Damaging a shrub on public property – oh, so witty. You’ll see worse injuries and funnier video’s on TV tonight.

I have to go now, my side are hurting too too much…

Oh! Now what?

Hahaha!! Its me and my friends

“…if you miss one movie this year…”

; )

I like the hedge boy.

This is why we have the Darwin Awards. we have some contenders right here

Soz – *his tune is put!!!!

PUI – it’s never pretty.

Karl Orff must be SO peeved about the uses to which his little tune are put.

I think I need more Nescafe . . .

Pre home computers we used to have rock wars with the kids in the neighboring street.

Pfft why would I watch that movie if that is the best they have? My cousins and I got up to more mischief and mayhem back in the day.

interesting since the kid getting smacked in the face by someone is my neighbours kid – rofl
