Fancy country cafes/restaurants for breakfast?

Anyone know of any nice breakfast cafes around the Sutton/Collector/Bungendore area?

Looking for somewhere slightly up-market for a special breakfast. Something along the lines of the now-closed Lynwood Cafe or Poacher’s Pantry is what I had in mind (and before you hit the reply button, yes, the actual Poacher’s Pantry is an option, just wondering if there was anywhere else to add to the list).

Thanks!

Fabulous cafe at Jugiong if you want to venture a bit further. To be honest don’t know what their breaky is like but lunch there is great. A little bit pricey and very busy on public holidays and therefore possibly weekends. Wouldn’t quite call it up market, but really nice spot. There’s another cafe on the way back to Canberra -I think at Bowning that I heard reviews for. Roll on In or something to that effect.

Does Pialligo count as country? If so Pod Food is still very good, even after a change of management (which was some time ago now, mind).

plus 1 for pod food. yummy

Grazing at Gundaroo is very upmarket and good. Not really a “little breakfast cafe” though.

\Especially since they don’t do breakfast….

They do at the cellar door behind and it’s excellent.

Flint in the Vines at Murrumbateman cater for Sunday breakfast. Not sure if that suits you but it is a great place and fits your “slightly upmarket” request.

Yep – Bungendore Woodworks. The other week they were kind enough to serve our table a mix of breakfasts and lunches! Even though we were past the breakfast time limit. Excellent breakfast!

I often go to the Bungendore woodworks gallery cafe for weekend breakfasts and recommend it. The food and service has been good whenever I’ve been, and probably fits the “little bit upmarket” criteria.
