Fat Canberra women letting down the team

The ABC reports on research by ACT Health showing Canberra women are more likely to be obese than men:

The study by ACT Health reveals that women are also less likely to exercise and eat enough vegetables.

On the other hand women are smoking and drinking less than the blokes.

Which seems a little unfair really.

Who cares what people who you need not know think.

All that matters s what you and your close friends /family think.

Teatotalling … giving up alcohol in favour of tea?

just a general term for people giving up drinking alcohol, nothing to do with tea

ok, i am a teetotaller. I still smoke, and i am slightly overweight. I say slightly, since my wife started (us) on weight watchers, the kids and I seem to be losing weight as well.

I will be going back to the gym, and see if i can see my feet again. they are there, i know it.

My wife is now 20kg lighter, and looks great. one kambah girl that has managed to shed the winter flab. I am certain that people who see us in the mall think i eat her food too.

or what is she doing with me?

An ADFA guy I know once said after a big night at Mooseheads “best thing about fat chicks is that they are always grateful”. What you think he meant?

Grateful for recieving a huge serve of chips and gravy at Chicken Gourmet?

Australia doesn’t have an obesity problem it has a female obesity problem and my partner agrees 100%. Just about every female you see out these days has a fat problem and when you notice what they buy you can understand why. Aearated sugary drinks and a burger seem to be the norm for lunch. Looks like a new education program required?

I’ve totalled lots of tees in my golfing attempts.

Of course, by my earlier rationale, “teetotalling” could also be interpreted as giving up alcohol in favour of golf. 😛

It was all a trick!

The docter said it was more important to give up smoking and drinking than stay thin; now they’ve ambushed us women with a report outing us as fat, non-smoking, teatotallers.

I declare SHENANIGANS on the report writers of ACT Health.

Hmmm, let me think. By their reasoning about women getting fatter, I can only come to the conclusion that if this is the case, Women in Kambah would lead the weigh in as they now have online Coles shopping and delivery. They will no longer get the exercise that they normally would if they got up off their fat asses and actually did the shopping instead of ordering it.

To cap it off, The study by PBO reveals that women are also less likely to exercise and eat enough vegetables if they live in the Kambah area. Women in surrounding areas would be seen as gradually thinner the further you get away from Kambah. i am not trying to be sexist either, i just see it as funny.

You may not have tried to be sexist, but you certainly achieved it.

*gasp* I live in Kambah and I gym it every weekday. The vegetables thing is probably right though. The fruit and veg section at the woolies at Kambah is quite possible the worst I have ever encountered. I never buy any F&V from there apart from the absolutel essentials like onions and tomatoes.

I am wondering about men in the Kambah area. Are they getting off their fat arses to do the shopping? Or are they sitting on said arses while their missus is on coles online?

Doesn’t matter what the blokes in that area are doing, as long as they continue to smoke and drink to excess they’ll never get fat.

So the weight loss solution is easy right?

All women need to go out clubbing, get pissed, dance theirs arses off, chain smoke, then at the end of the night walk to Chicken Gourmet for hot chips.

That covers all them, exercise, vegetables, smoking and alcohol – the 4 contributing factors to the Canberra male physique.

chicken gourmet has another food group – gravy. it is a food group all of its own…
