About 6pm last night (Tuesday, May 5), police responded to a report that a motorcyclist on Erindale Drive, near the intersection with Sulwood Drive, had collided into the back of a car as they were both travelling south.

This is very sad as is any road fatality.
There have been other fatalities in the same spot.
Sometimes at evening peak hour, traffic banks up past the Sulwood Drive roundabout and being downhill from Long Gully Road, vehicles tend to speed up so when it is realised that traffic ahead is stationery around the curve, people travelling at speed can’t slow down in time to avoid a rear ender.
There is a need for warning lights (not speed humps, please).
