Again, sympathies to all the families and friends.

Um, KPR goes from east to west, how can you travel north on it?

Maybe that’s why they collided with a tree – the road goes east/west but they were travelling north?

It goes north south.

It actually does not take a great deal of brain-power to understand the original statement.

I take it the young lass lived or knew someone in Gleneagles

Kambah Pool Road is a known hoon haunt – hence the gates at Kambah Pool and the ‘regular’ late-night police patrols…

Why would you be on Cotter Rd at 2:30am on a Motorbike? And with a pillion? That road is sketchy enough on a bike in perfect conditions.
Poor girl.

Three in a week. Who declared the killing season open?

Yes, we certainly are making up for the dry spell from a couple of years ago.

On does have to wonder though why two people were riding a motorbike an night around the Cotter. Way too much wildlife to be doing that. I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time and now the rider will be regretting it.

Its amazing you need a seatbelt for a car, yet can just hang on to someone riding a bike.
Would hope she was wearing a helmet. Say day for both ladies

Trust me, you would never want to be strapped onto a motorcycle, especially if it high sides and starts flipping.

OP – Cotter run at 2:30am (approx) = bad idea. Too much gravel and wildlife, plus a pillion, and you cant see all the way through the turns. Was an accident waiting to happen. Sad she had to pay so dearly for that mistake.

Kambah pool road was originally part of the Tuggeranong parkway.
Drakeford drive used to meet the parkway at the T intersection and the parkway went down behind Kambah.

They later realised that Western Tuggeranong couldn’t be built because of the wildlife (pre 2003). So turned the parkway east.

I take it the young lass lived or knew someone in Gleneagles. Do they have a name yet?

One has to wonder whether excessive speed was the reason for losing control of the motorcycle approaching the bend or perhaps there was something on the road? Either way tragic and sad for the family affected.

Around the Cotter, could well have been something on the road. Was riding round a bend there a couple of years ago and a damn Emu popped out right in front of me. Lucky I wasn’t going too fast. Yes, commiserations to all the families and friends involved.

How sad. Condolences to the families.
