Another fire notice from the ESA:

11:45am Tuesday 7 September 2010 – Fire extinguished at Gold Creek Senior School ACT Fire Brigade on scene of a fire at Gold Creek Senior School, Kelleway Ave, Nicholls.

Fire in toilet block has been extinguished.

Two fire pumpers and the Breathing Apparatus response on scene.

School has been evacuated and ACT Fire Brigade ventilating the area.

UPDATE:

12:30pm Tuesday 7 September 2010 – Update on Gold Creek Senior School fire ACT Fire Brigade crews were alerted by an automatic fire alarm at 11:21am followed by an Emergency Triple Zero (000) call.

Crews still accessing the damage.

Approx half the students allowed back inside of the unaffected block.
Other students remain evacuated while ACT Fire Brigade carries out atmospheric monitoring.

Cause to be investigated.
