Seriously I couldn’t give a flying frak whether they write an update that some geek can try to pick apart by clutching at straws like this. As long as they know how to put a fire out.

I am not having a go at the Firies dearie as I know very well that It is not the Firies writing the press releases, it is some knob who has supposedly got a degree in communications and should therefore have a better grasp on how to construct a sentence. I am usually the one on here defending the professional Firies and the work they do against the frequent comments from the people who think they know better. So go jump down someone else’s throat. Oh and I am not a geek so ner.

Yet another stunning effort from the ESA media team. I believe 000 is only for emergency calls so calling it ’emergency 000 call’ is redundant. Like that classic that seems to be fast becoming the vernacular of ‘the incident occurred at 3am in the morning’. I must have missed the memo that said 3am is no longer restricted to the morning hours and now may occur at any time of the day therefore clarification is needed when referring to any time in the am.

Sheesh, what are they teaching the kiddies these days??

“No evacuations”
With a fire in a deep fryer?

“ACT Fire Brigade on scene”
And no evacuations?

What am i missing.. isnt there a protocol that if something sets off a fire alarm and that is due to fire then you evacuate?
Anywhere else you burn toast, it sets of the alarm and half the time you have to evacuate.

There’s [was] a Hungry Jacks at Canberra Centre???

Oh bliss .. deep fried used oil with a smoke flavour..from a large takeawy ..this is a rare commodiity. They will make money here. tremendous. Anything deep fried from this would taste just great. Throw in the leg from a pine chair , and you would have the best meal you could hope to have.

Do you want Fires with that? Ooops, sorry ‘Fries’!
