A back up fire engine must of been dispatched from the Ainslie station, as it was going up Limestone about that time, drivers were really good getting out of the way (surprise surprise) cars pulled off the the left and right as their lanes dictated, and the fire engine raced up the middle with minimal weaving or loss of speed.n.

We called 000.
There were 2 Fire Engines, Fire Hazmat, The big Fire ladder truck, Fire Officers Prado, paramedics, Police van, Police car, Police Sgts Car, and the most of the smoke had stopped before the first of them arrived!
I was impressed that most of the customers managed to grab their coffees amongst the hurried evacuation.

Coffee roasters seem to be THE major cause of commecial fires in the ACT at the moment. Is it just that we have more of them now?

Unfortunately the beautiful ballet of courteous driving was spoilt by the driver of taxi tx-113, roaring up the wake left by the fire truck weaving around the cars pulling back into their lanes. the taxi driver caused a few close calls and more disruption that the emergency vehicle.

His net gain, By just driving normally, I passed him at the roundabout further up the road on Fairburn.

Here I was thinking that the Office of National Assessments had burnt down.

I always thought the ONA coffee house was inside the ASIO building.

Coffee roasters 2 – Drycleaners 1.
