Fire in Braddon

ACT Fire & Rescue is on scene at a property fire in Ipima Street in Braddon.

Update to follow.

9:21pm Sunday 15 April 2012

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a second floor unit.

Crews contained the fire to the room of origin and quickly extinguished the flames.

The unit is now being ventilated with smoke damage to the remainder of the property.

The sole occupant safely self evacuated.

The cause will be investigated.
