Fire in Kowen

ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Rural Fire Service is working to extinguish a small fire burning at northern part of Kowan Forest.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

The fire is approximately two hectares in size and is being controlled.

The Fire Danger Rating where this fire is burning is LOW-MODERATE.

Fires burning in LOW-MODERATE conditions can be easily controlled.

The fire is approximately four hectares in size and is being controlled.

Smoke from the fire can be seen in the surrounding area due to the current windy conditions.

The Fire Danger Rating where this fire is burning is LOW-MODERATE.

Fires burning in LOW-MODERATE conditions can be easily controlled.

ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Rural Fire Service is working to extinguish a small fire burning at northern section of Kowen Forest.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

The ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Rural Fire Service has multiple units on scene.

The fire is approximately four hectares in size and is under control. Fire crews expect to remain on scene for a few hours mopping up.

Smoke from the fire can be seen in the surrounding area due to the current windy conditions.

The cause of the fire is unknown but will be investigated.

ACT Rural Fire Service crews have completed mopping up the fire in northern section of Kowen Forest.

Firefighters will patrol the area for the rest of the weekend to ensure no flare ups occur.
