It was number 10.. We live next door.. The family escaped via ladders over our fence… Very very nice neighbours who are very hard working, with 2 adorable little girls, a baby 4 months and a 3 year old.. They have lost everything but have good family and neighbour support.
It was incredibly frightening how quickly the fire took hold.. Thank god they got out.. They will be shellshocked for some time, as will those who saw the fire take hold, very very scary. I hope they get some sleep tonight, I know we haven’t slept since 3am.

Will an insurance co refuse to pay out for fire if the cause was found to be negligence and using electrical equipment inappropriatly?

Thanks Kaylene. We used to be over the road. I think you and I met at S & L’s Christmas do one year.

Please pass on our thoughts and best wishes to the family. What a terrible thing to have happen, especially at this time of year. Glad to hear that they are all okay.

Incredibly sad, but also an opportunity to be thankful that no-one was hurt and they still have each other.

I think the house is about number 10 or 12 McKail Cres.

This is really sad news for the family. This is one Christmas they won’t forget 🙁

Anyone know where on McKail Cres? I lived there until about 18 months ago.
