Canberra Poetry Slam
Local wordsmiths Varisht Gosain and Josh Inman are once again amassing a clan of poets to do battle at the Front in Lyneham.

What: 1st Canberra Poetry Slam of 2013
Where: The Front Gallery and Cafe, Lyneham
The Canberra Poetry Slam is Canberra’s longest running poetry slam. The CPS kicks off at 730 with an open mic. Hosted by the Flying V and J C Inman The featured performers of the night include the experiment sounds and vision of Reuben Ingall and Paul Heslin and the contemplative poetry of Tasnim Hossain Cash prizes, entry by donation.

I don’t spit! Much. And certainly not to ‘contemplative poetry’. Now I have an image of someone reading Emily Dickinson, pausing only to fill their spittoon.
