First REDLETTER show in Canberra for 2005
“Having spent most of 2004 in the studio and relocating to Melbourne, Triple J ‘Next Crop’ artist Redletter are on the Hume this week…

Friday 27 May at The Pot Belly, Belconnen
w/ Cold Heart Projects and The Ashburys.
The band has settled quickly into Australia’s music capitial, gigging consistently at such great venues as the Public Bar, Pony, the Duke of Windsor and the Tote. They’ve received plenty of great wraps from bookers, punters and other bands alike with their heady mix of melodic rock songs and atmospheric soundscapes.

In the next few weeks they have gigs lined up at the Espy and a headlining show at the prestigious Ding Dong Lounge.

Release dates are currently being finalised for the first single ‘Better Things Behind’, taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘Your Planes Fill The Sky’. The new Redletter website isn’t too far away from being launched either, so keep your eyes peeled.

For the uninitiated, if you dig the likes of The Church, Guided By Voices, Gersey and Bluebottle Kiss, you’ll love Redletter.

Supported by one of Canberra’s most captivating live acts, the Cold Heart Projects (see profile in this Thursday’s edition of ‘Fly’ in the Canberra Times), and exciting young power pop act, The Ashburys, Friday is your first chance in over 12 months to see Redletter live in Canberra.

A Pot Belly gig is always a blast and Friday night promises a in-form, top shelf band in an intimate setting. $5 on the door. Bargain.”
