Flags at half mast for the King of Tonga

half mast

Wondering why the flags are at half mast?

Hoping it’s not for Jim Stynes (great man that he was)?

We were wondering too, so we asked TAMS and got this reply:

The flag will be at half mast today due to the death of his majesty, King George Tupou V from Tonga.

So there you go.

I thought it might be for the Labor Party after the Qld election.
