It’s been a while since we had a quality flame, but this one falls short of greatness only through the ommission of block caps.

Solid work and a deserving winner of FOTW:

I immediately dropped into a high-energy roflcopter when I saw the words ‘Massey’ and ‘rehabilitaiton’ in the same sentence.

She is a “Massey” by marriage only…and has been divorced for many years…!!!!
If you don’t know the Massey’s …then i suggest you shut up!
How dare any of you criticise…?! If one of your own family members committed a crime does that mean you should all be punished and judged?!! Grow up morons!

As for already serving 3 years..that’ is not correct either…she served 12 months only…and let’s not forget she has an innocent little boy who has had his whole life turned upside down…Show some compassion you judgemental scum!
I know the family very well….and will continue to support and love them…! you halfwits can think what you like….all righteous and pompous…Shame on you!
Sterilize them? Morons!!!!
Drug addiction is very real and the cause of this unfortunate situation….and I can hear all the do-gooders and know-it-alls condemning and criticizing this as well..,.It is an illness ….just like anything else!

Yup bogan love of the criminal mate in trouble is a beautiful thing. When I have a friend in trouble, (not a daily occurence but these things happen), I say something like “Don’t judge until he has his day in court” or “I hope she can get her life back on track.” If pushed, I might go to “He was always nice to me so that’s all I can use to form an opinion” but never “The other girl wasn’t dead when she left, she’s the sweetest girl ever!”

Yup, why is it so hard for bogans to admit that someone isn’t perfect…

It’s due to the abnormally low IQ and constant ingestion of behaviour altering substance, both legal and illegal.

Wonder how their kids go at NAPLAN time? Such wonderful role models for life skills we should all be taking a leaf out of their collective books. Love, honour and terrorise.

Yup, why is it so hard for bogans to admit that someone isn’t perfect. I know and like a few people out there, but with the qualification that I certainly would not lend them money or leave them alone in my house. If they stabbed someone I would be sad, and hope them the best, but I wouldn’t be in public polishing their halo.

Rebbecca kept the Massey name to scare people who she thought may be a threat to her, but she is entitled to keep the name, once married to Matt Massey, even though divorced.
I glad she got charged with murder, she deserved to be put away, she has to pay for what she has done.
She (Rebbecca) didn’t think about her son or the little girl who’s mother she murdered in front of them, she caused all this herself, and yes she has been a on drugs for a very long time, no excuses, she knew what she was doing when she brought that knife along with her, and called the victim out of the shop, what a coward, she couldn’t even fight fair.

hey cleo i know you , and if you do know becky , since your talking all this shit , then you’d know who iam …. anyway stop talking crap cuz your so druged out and boared . beckys was and still is one of my very best friends so id appreciate it if you like just get a life , she didnt keep mattys name cuz she wanted to scare people (i think shes capable of doing that herself without his name ) she keep it because its her sons name , its really pissing me off , that you can sit there typing shit like she deserves to be locked up , well first the women wasent dead when becs left , second the women had so many drugs she was lucky she wasent dead already , iv known becs since i was 15 yrs old and shes like the sweetest grl ever , yeah she had a temper but she would have to be pushed or not in her right mind to do it……………. i know shell win her appeal… and ill be there to drink to that xoxoxo toddles

So she shouldn’t have been charged with murder because the victim didn’t die until later? Oh, and she was a drug addict (like your friend) so she deserved it.

How depressing that this isn’t a troll.

So I wake up on a wet Thursday morning thinking about the problem I had to solve at work this morning, and then I read this. Now the sun is shining!

Christ, so many spelling and grammatical errors, I counted 13 mistakes in the first sentence.

Xxxbitch, “wasent” isn’t a word, it’s “wasn’t”. “Druged” has two G’s. A noun ( a ‘naming’ word – place, name, animal etc) starts with a capital letter. The start of every sentence begins with a capital letter. You don’t need a space before a comma, like this. Finally, a “shell” is something from the Ocean.

Is this some kind of Underbelly thing? Shall we see The Masseys featured in the next series?

One pass arsessumptions is the majority way of reading a post. Its good you were able to translate for the simple folk.

It sometimes requires the correct arsepect in order to understand some of these posts…
Or was that pisspect?

On first pass I assumed the “not” was a typo. Sorry. I guess we’re in agreement. 🙂

That’s OK. One pass arsessumptions is the majority way of reading a post. Its good you were able to translate for the simple folk.

My interpretation is a bit different. She’s not sticking up for Rebecca Massey. She’s raising the point that Rebecca Massey is NOT a Massey so limit the comments to her and not the Massey family, and especially not the son. She loves and supports the family and not Rebecca. At least that’s how I read it.

This mongoloid has a point and quite a good one.

fgzk said :

I assume you mean “obviously reading”. Well the post does contain a lot of inconsistencies. My attempt to find order in the chaos probably was too kind. But there is some effort in there to make a distinction between Rebecca and the rest of ’em.

Grail “to support a drug addict other than to break their drug habit and remove them from the social circles that led to experimenting with drugs in the first place.”

You may be right. How do you do that?

As I said after the original flame;

Drug addiction is very real and the cause of this unfortunate situation….

As a good family friend who loves and supports them, I sincerely hope you will take a hand in the innocent child’s upbringing. You presumably will explain to them the evils of drugs and property crime, and that the bad decisions on their mothers part has resulted in the death of a woman and the absence of their mother for a large part of their childhood.

What I can’t believe is that she kept the Massey name after the breakup. Surely it would have been worth the cost of changing it back to avoid being stigmatised/stereotyped as being a violent criminal bogan?

I’m always struck by how the people and families embroiled in criminal doings are so beloved of their friends and acquaintances. These people will speak up (or type up) and declare their undying love, how saintly the subjects are…

They have become emotionally (and in some cases financially) invested in these people, hoping and believing that the subjects will change their ways or magically become good people if only there is enough well-wishing directed their way.

Thus the subject can’t possibly be a bad person, because if the subject is found to be a bad person, the emotionally invested folks will feel that they are bad people too, due to having supported the bad person.

These are not rational people we are dealing with here. They are ruled by their emotions, which is how they get into the position of thinking that there are ways to support a drug addict other than to break their drug habit and remove them from the social circles that led to experimenting with drugs in the first place.

My brain is full of frack after reading that…

Seriously, this must be a troll, and a reasonably good one at that. (especially with an alias like ACIDrose)

Full,,, marks!! For…Over??? Punctuation!!

Also a good grades on the; “she was made to do these things due to drug addiction, which is obviously no fault of her own,” front, and the; “her son has been damaged by this, so we should pity her,” disconnect.

It’s not just the missing block caps, JB, there’s also a notable dearth of serious spelling errors (though I do appreciate the nice touch of random switching between American “ize” and Australian/UK “ise” suffixes). It saddens me that the standard of flames seems to be slipping. Pull your collective socks up, flamers!

Clearly I need better friends… the people who are the topics of these kinds of posts seem like a whole new level of friends to have.

Really interesting point. Thinking about it, if anyone close to me committed such a terrible crime, there’s no way I’d be defending them.

Shorter AcidRose:

“She’s not a cold-blooded murderer! She’s a _drug-addled_ murderer! And she got knocked up once! IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!”

Bonus points for grocers’ apo’strophe’s.
