it’s a shame nightfest isnt on for longer. the weather was so crap I didn’t go, and its all over. I also baulked at the $50/family price. Bit steep…

And those pics make Nightfest look a lot better than it was in reality. Just MHO. I took my 6yo for the first time on Sunday and I really think it wasn’t worth the money I paid for it. And not because the weather chilled me to the bone but because of the lack of anything interesting to see or do.

Which was partly because of the wet weather: the tent where they did their comedian shows was way too small and half of the audience was expected to sit outside, but the chairs were wet and muddy. We did not see the promised acrobats and what not that were supposed to be cruising around the park. The lights on the flowers did not really make them look much different from how they look in daylight. The only rides that were open was the overpriced ferris wheel and the clowns and the rides look like something from the 50s anyway.

But I cannot rave enough about the light show thing! What was it called? Sound of the storm? We spent most of our time there, sitting/standing in the rain, waiting for the next song so we could watch the light show. Awesome!
