Andrew Barr is obviouslyuy very excited to have unveiled the new Floriade volunteers uniform.

Volunteers are central to the success of Floriade. Again this year Canberrans have responded to the call with almost 200 signing-up to dedicate thousands of hours of their time to ensure the event is a success.

As with previous years, this year’s uniform is a long sleeved t-shirt, with the use of calm colours predominantly teal green with blue trimming in line with the Floriade 2009 theme.
And this year’s theme? One only for the strong of stomach: “Mind, Body and Soul”.
What next? “The struggle of the proletariat in the face of bourgeois oppression”?
