Folk Festival giveaway winner

Thank you to all who entered our folk festival ticket giveaway last week. It was a very touch decision to make with some excellent entries

Highly commended awards go to Emmabanyer, astrojax, shipman and especially Amrita …

The winning entry however goes to Feathergirl for ‘Far away family, connecting with music’ because it captures the strong connections and community feel of the Festival so well. Festival organisers tell us that many loyal attendees say it’s like their annual family reunion, only more fun.

Congrats Feathergirl, I hope you have a great time 🙂

I worked with your partner’s dad in 1990. What a gorgeous, gorgeous man. I still remember some of his more amusing anecdotes. Morning tea was always heaps of fun when he was around.

Wow! Thanks Jazz,

I haven’t been to the Festival in a few years, as we all used to go with my partners Dad (Mike Hayes of The Hayes Brothers, Cactus Jack fame, also a great writer) but since he passed away we just haven’t got out there to listen to some great live music. Really looking forward to experiencing the friendly atmosphere again.
