Ex Brumby and fulltime Canberran Clyde Rathbone is fresh from getting his Australian citizenship personally from Quentin Bryce at Yarralumla, and on Friday he was the focus of a Stateline love in (not yet online).

Foxsports informs us that he’s talking to the badly depleted Western Force about filling, at least in part, the void left by their recent player exodus.

At just 28 he’s probably still got a lot to offer in Perth if he can ever get fit and stay fit.

Clyde was a top player a few years ago, but injuries have taken away his speed and, let’s face it, his skills aren’t that great. If he made the move to No.6 he could yet be a superstar. By the way, although a lot of people I know think that he is a really arrogant intensity machine, in person he is a very friendly and humble guy.

From all reports if form was anything to go by he’d be playing second grade for ANU…and that might be a bit hard on the guy he would have pushed back to thirds..

I hope the Force get a warranty (no, on second thoughts I don’t)
