Former Raider faces court in the Old Dart

By Thumper 3 January 2009 2

Fox Sport is reporting that former Raiders winger Leslie Vainokolo, who is now playing rugby union in England has been charged with causing grevious bodily harm in a short hearing at Bath magistrates court.

I guess it shows that Todd Carney doesn’t have exclusive rights to being a miscreant.

He played how many 1st grade games for the Raiders how many years ago?

I also heard that someone who went to a Raiders game 3 years ago was charged with assault in a Mackay Court 6 months ago.

The horse has well and truly been flogged, way past the point of death

For all Carney’s faults, it’s hard to top the efforts in 1997 of Raider Noa Nadruku. The talented winger bashed two women outside a club after consuming “up to 40 schooners of beer, a six-pack of stubbies and half a bottle of wine”. He got off after “Magistrate Shane Madden concluded he was too drunk to form an intention to commit the assaults”. Those laws have now been changed after the incident caused national outrage. Another celebrated case for the Raiders and Rugby League
