Local singer songwriter (and international man of mystery) Fred Smith has put out this missive:
Fred Smith will be taking the stage accompanied by his double bass playing performing partner Liz Frencham to launch his (already) highly acclaimed new album Dust of Uruzgan. The performance will be accompanied by projections of a remarkable set of photographic images from Afghanistan .

I’ve had an advance copy of the CD for a few days now and can vouch that it’s absolutely haunting and for anyone that pays attention to world affairs a must listen for voices that have actually been at the pointy end.
