Last Friday a few of us went down to The Front at Lyneham and had a rip snorting evening out the front of The Front with a crowd which just grew and grew.

We were entertained by Claire Maynard, Matty Ellis, Cumulo Nimbus, Bec and Adi, and a late set by Vorn Doolette.

There was music in the cafes at night
And revolution in the air.

Also, during the day, I can report that The Front’s free wireless internet is working very well indeed, just open up your laptop and there it is.

UPDATE: Here’s a slideshow of pictures from the night with music by Matty Ellis:

I second the call about the coffee. Time for #5 business review.

The wonderful Rose is no longer running the Front… which is a wonderful place. Talk about David and Goliath, with the Lilliputian Front right next door to the Gargantuan Tilleys! All they need is better coffee – Douwe Egberts! yeccchhh! Please Front, upgrade the blend!!

The Front isn’t usually the type that attracts overenthusiastic drunk punters. Wasn’t the case last gig I went to there. Geoff and Rose who run the place are really nice.

Jeez it’s in Lyneham, it’s a very small shopping centre.

Gallery-cafe and burgeoning live music venue.

I imagine the “you break it you bought it” principle will lead to ever expanding sales of artworks as drunk punters put their elbows through artworks.

The Front is the art gallery just down the road from Tilleys, isn’t it?

Where is “The Front” at Lyneham?
