Gai Brodtmann knifed Julia

Something for the sisterhood in the southern seat of Canberra to consider in today’s Canberra Times:

After the ballot, the member for Canberra, Gai Brodtmann, said she supported Mr Rudd. ”I voted for Kevin Rudd to give Labor a fighting chance,” she said. ”I made my decision thinking about the future of Canberra , the future of the Labor Party and the future of the nation.”

Quite heroic to declare her hand after the winner was known.

Quite a contrast compared to the heroically delusional defenses of the PM by Andrew Leigh and Kate Lundy in the last month.

UPDATE: Over the border Mike Kelly went with Kevin too.

Gai is married to Chris Uhlmann from the ABC TV 7.30 report and the Osborne Independent Group:

‘Chris Uhlmann unsuccessfully contested the ACT 1998 general election for the electorate of Molonglo with the Osborne Independent Group.

The conservative group was named after Paul Osborne, who was strongly pro-life and advocated blocking both euthanasia legislation and any attempt to decriminalise abortion.

Osborne and Uhlmann fell out when Osborne moved to severely restrict abortion in the ACT. Six years earlier, Uhlmann had written in support of establishing an abortion clinic in the territory.’

Basically tells us that, like Shorten, they only back the winning team. Forget morals for what the candidates stand for, they all just want to get some time in the limelight from Kev.

they are politicians, afer all, not moral philosophers.

and c_c, mr leigh is the parl sec in the pm’s office, and an academic economist – i’m quite sure mr swan knows full well who he is…

Andrew Leigh is such a slimy twit. He tweeted during Smith’s resignation that he’d tried to stop him leaving. Bet Smith doesn’t even know who you are Andrew, but nice job trying to cash in. Stooge.

Mike Kelly is no surprise, he’s long been in Kamp Kevin.

Gai who?

Pretty much sums it up. the only thing of any significance she has done in this term is knife a leader…

Show me one person in a marginal seat who didn’t at least mull over voting for Rudd… Given Eden-Monaro is considered the litmus test, Mike Kelly’s head would technically be the first on the chopping block.

Gai who?

Hopefully she’ll get to be Parliamentary Secretary of Veteran’s Affairs for a few weeks. AMAIZING.
