ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an incident that occurred on Gundaroo Drive, Nicolls, last night (Wednesday, March 21).
Around 10.30pm two men were at their home in Nicholls when a male known to them arrived at the house with a group of men. The group of men forced entry to the house by breaking a front window while the two men fled the residence through the rear door. It is believed the men who forced entry to the home were armed with baseballs bats, metal poles and a sword.
The two men ran accross Gundaroo Drive where it is believed that the group of males got out of a white Holden Commodore and assaulted the two men. Both victims sustained only minor injuries.
A number of members of the public stopped their vehicles on Gundaroo drive to assist the two men. Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
