National Capital Authority (NCA) Chief Executive Mr Gary Rake today announced he would leave the position on 4 August 2013 after almost five years in the role.
Mr Rake has resigned to take up the position of Chief Operating Officer at the Therapeutic Goods Administration (part of the Department of Health and Ageing) in Canberra.
“It has been a great honour serving as Chief Executive of the National Capital Authority. It is time for me to pass the baton on to someone else,” Mr Rake said.
“I set goals for my term as Chief Executive and these have now been completed.”
“Government has affirmed its enduring commitment to the National Capital, funding has been secured for the organisation to operate effectively, and relationships with key stakeholders and the community are strong.”
“I have had the privilege of working with one of the most progressive, professional, resilient and dedicated teams in the public service. The NCA has only 60 staff but I simply could not have discharged my responsibilities without them and their hard work. I owe them my thanks”
