Gas fire at Weston surgery

ACT Fire & Rescue are on scene at RFG Dentistry, Brierly Street, Weston, following a fire from a small gas cylinder.

Fire has been extinguished with minimal damage.

Occupants utilised a fire blanket to cover the gas cylinder and safely self evacuated before ACT Fire & Rescue crews extinguished the fire.

Crews were alerted following an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) at 2.37pm, followed by Emergency Triple Zero (000) calls by occupants.

Crews are currently conducting ventilation operations in the two storey building.
