I was just listening to ABC 666 and Senator Gary Humphries is to appear in the Canberra Philharmonic Society’s production of ‘the Producers’. He plays the role of an accountant, Marks (not Marx).

Thank god he is not one of the Nazis!

The show commences at Erindale Theatre next Friday.

*** FAILURE TO CARE ***

WTF? I just used Annette Ellis as an example because I am in her electorate of Brindabella and hear about what she does. If I were in Fraser, I would have used Bob McMullan. My point was at least I know she’s has done, that at least one thing that she has pushed for for has been successful. I see Humphries frequently in the media, yet I have no idea what plans he has pushed for to improve Canberra. If any one knows of a initiative he has lead, please please please post it. I think Gary’s a good guy, but I don’t know what he stands for or what he has done.

As for FM radio, yet again Humphreis was there, but never seemed to campaign for it or even lead the push for better FM radio in Lanyon. Where as I received three pieces of mail from Ellis’ office, a survey about reception and two invitations to community meetings about reception. Humphries was to be at the meetings but so were ACT Government reps. Everything pointed to Ellis leading, and Humphries trying to share the limelight.

Bugger that ISP posting address are now hidden

where the hell does the line about Ellis come in here???? Anyone else thinks ASP may just be an Ellis staffer trying to get some attention for the boss???

Thats really our tax dollars at work!

Who’s talking about Annette Ellis? That’s so out of left field you have to be a staffer/hack, right asp? Subtle.

But since we’re talking about Tugg radio reception, I seem to recall Annette and Gaz both worked pretty hard on that – a nice reminder that politicians can (occasionally) put the party stuff aside and do good for their ‘peeps. Cue big wave of sentimental feeling as we all picture Gazza and Annette, hand in hand, doing right for the people of Canberra…. :p

He actually admitted in the Sunday (Canberra) Tmes that he already has a id morning nap for about 15 minutes. And that if he could, he’d have a mid afternoon one too. Between that and the learning lines, when does he have the time to… what does he do? I’m serious. Annette Ellis has a whole bunch of tings she’s done that I can recall. FM Radio in Tuggeranong being my favourite. What has Gary done?

Meh, I was bored and thought a little righto spluttering would spark up the day.

I’d still be surprised if a little line-learning or rehearsal didn’t creep into the work day.

Never mind, pierce usually only bobs up when he has something irrational to splutter.

Indeed, what someone does in their own time is their own business.

Good on him for getting out and pursuing something that interests him.

What a tosser!!!

What has Humphries appearance in a musical (in his own time) got to do with “our tax dollars at work”?????

Can we see Natalie and Jacqui performing in “Spring time for Hitler” in the following gear?

Well I could see Bronwyn at least in the garb.

(Heh heh I bet the Laborites are cacking themselves over this post!)

“spring time for Hitler and Germany”
as performed by Gary Humphries.

Never heard him sing before. Should be interesting.
