The Canberra Times has the happy news that knifed ACT Liberal Senator Gary Humphries has found gainful employment selling access to the Abbott Government to whomever can afford his fees:
His appointment to 1st State Government and Corporate Relations will be announced on Wednesday.
Mr Humphries will be able to draw on experience and contacts built up over almost 25 years in politics, as ACT chief minister and a senator.
He will operate between Canberra and Sydney initially, and will establish an office for the company in Canberra.
”The role is essentially making the link between corporations and industry associations and even community organisations that need or want something from government,” he said.
We suppose it beats having him hitting punters up for change in Garema Place.
