Actew has announced an exciting summer water saver pack, available for free if this stuff excites you.

The pack includes such goodies as:

  • a 4-minute shower timer,
  • stickers for the kids,
  • an outside tap hanger to help you to be a waterwise gardener,
  • helpful tips for saving water inside and outside your home, and
  • more.

Try to contain your excitement long enough to email waterconservation@actew.com.au with your postal details or call (02) 6248 3131 to order a water saving pack.

    Meanwhile…

Santa Corbell has announced the GardenSmart rebate is going up from $50 to $100. Which means money back when you buy “selected water-efficient products” for the garden.

Stating the bleedin’ obvious – Has anybody noticed the contradiction between publishing books and taking out advertising urging us to save water while at the same time easing water restrictions including allowing cars to be washed?

Ah, what the hell. In for a penny….

“Get yore summer water saver packs while they’re hot!”

Be they ancient water saver packs of which thou doth speaketh, my liege?

ah trevar! it’s not the sand. You must have the same space-time distortion in your shower that I have! My wife only says she has a 4 minute shower but to me, the outside observer, it appears to take 30 minutes.

Argh! Why do they spend their money on this stupid shit?!

Use it for something that is actually useful.

Too right. I have one of those shower timers from the last bout of benevolence, and the sand doesn’t move at all! I can shower 24 hours a day according to Actew!

Sir,

Please keep my rebate to go towards a deposit for a larger dam.

Thanks

So, no mention of monthly allowances for home car washing then. 🙁
