ACT Policing arrested a 37-year-old Red Hill man early this morning after an altercation last night (Tuesday, 25 January) which resulted in a 34-year-old male stabbed.
It is alleged that a small group of people were consuming liquor in a park in Red Hill when a disagreement took place between two men. The disagreement turned into a physical altercation, with the 34-year-old victim sustaining a number of puncture wounds to his legs and back.
The victim left the location and was assisted by members of the public before ACT Ambulance Service conveyed him to The Canberra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police conducted a number of enquiries and located the alleged offender in a nearby residence. The man was arrested and conveyed to the City Watch House and was charged with intentionally wounding.
The man will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday, 27 January).
