Getting tough on the monkeybikes

The UK’s Independent has a story on how the monkey-bike menace is being confronted by the bulldog-breed.

Anyone using these bikes on streets and playing fields can be fined and have their machines crushed as well as getting points on their licence – even if they are too young to have one yet.

So where are our local politicians, normally so quick to ban anything and everything?

I still don’t really see what the major difference between a cycle and a monkey bike, simular mass, simular speeds, neither are really responsible for any accidents caused by them etc.

I will concede that pocket bikes are very noisy, but at least they don’t block the roads out the cotter for races, the number of times ive nearly wiped out cyclists out there because of their own stupidity is crazy.

I think the “crushed” might also refer to how the monkeybikeriding twats feel seeing the things being smushed.

Will they crush the nob riding it as well?.

Pulse jet…..someone had the same idea 60 odd years ago

Until some enterprising twit gets his machine’o’death classified as a ‘mobility aid’ and sues for discrimination.

Tho a real mobility aid is a home made pulse jet.

a death a day keeps the population away.

If only we could be sure they’ll hurt no-one but themselves I wouldn’t mind at all.

I have a theory… Monkeybikes are generally ridden by those who inhabit the shallower end of the gene pool, if they choose to expose themselves to risks associated with riding such a thing, let them do it, and let Karma/God/Buddha/Allah sort them out. I am sure that we do not need to be explained what happens when one these things goes under a bus.

I’d love to see it done on the spot… Into the back of the garbage truck compactor style crushing.

Like stealing candy from kids.

oh yeah baby!

just change ‘monkey bike’ to ‘monkey bike and recumbent bikes’ and i’d move there.
