giant crack under pressure

Local band Fun Machine have sent in this photo from the football at Manuka today with the note:

Giant crack under pressure

We can only hope the semi-local team recompose themselves.

I think she’s the guy who re-did my guttering and changed those washers.

Oh good. I didn’t want a repeat of what happened in Bangkok. Glad I was right this time.

It makes you look even more juvenile than you are.

RiotACT is my forum and I refuse to accept other ‘people’ in society finding joy in small things.

Why should other people get enjoyment where I obviously don’t.

(Note: I suspect the one on the left, however, is getting a slightly more of the subsidy than the one on the right.)

I’m not entirly convinced that the “lady” on the left is a lady.

I have been wrong about this before mind you.

So let’s get this right.

1) $2.3 million per year to get these guys here.
2) Four matches played here a year.
3) Attendance per match is 4,222 backsides.

Now, solve for variable x, where x = (Barr’s self indulgence)

$2,300,000/4 = $575,000 per match.
$575,000/4,222 = $136.19 per backside.

Those two ladies, people, just cost you $272.38.

(Note: I suspect the one on the left, however, is getting a slightly more of the subsidy than the one on the right.)

Nothing small about it.

Is that first grade ?

Looking at that crowd and given the town has been awash with free tickets for a fortnight the govt must have subsidised each paying customer for about $10,000 each.

There were 4222 for a practice match. Watch MO sell out when the real stuff starts.

Did I need to remind you Rugby knuckleheads, that this was originally a Australian Rules town.

Of course it’s not an imported sport from a far off land.

Indigenous to Australia.

Geez I thought half of Canberra were desparate to get their four game AFL fix?
Doesn’t seem like it Andrew Barr.
Frustrated – do you wrap yourself in flag on Australia Day?
Who cares if the hybrid game was invented in Australia.

Hahahahah. Kevin Sheedy is lurking on RiotACT. Next you’ll tell us that Issy will win the Brownlow!

Rugby League gets double that to ‘practice matches’ (also known as trials). Big whoop.

I don’t think it’s a woman to the left.

What is more interesting is that it appears that there’s a handbag that could be taken quite easily.

Oh my! Nice spot. Who on earth wears heels, let alone *those kind* of heels to a football game?!?

(For the interest of open and frank opinion, does confess that she is a skate shoe kinda girl).

Is the lady to her right wearing high heels?!

I want to tick all three.

for a weekend in canberra with just about everything else you could think of also on, and for an essentially meaningless game, that seems a reasonable turnout – be interested, for instance, to see what the crowd at the cattery today was…

I think there were around 5000 there – and a lot of 2012 Members caps.

The kids have some talent, and Izzy is going to hurt someone this year. He cleaned up Rance, Foley and one other – and was reported for a sling tackle.

Go Giants!

I think that’s puerile, from the Latin for child or boy. You lost the ‘e’ in the middle. Pretty tacky to take and post this. On the other hand I just got back from this match, and I can fully understand the desire to focus on something off the field!

Thanks for the freebies, RiotACT.

I think you’ll find that “purile” has more than one e, JB.
