Gilmore house fire

ACT Fire & Rescue are currently on scene at a house fire at Henry Melville Crescent, Gilmore.

Fire under control.

Update to follow.

12:08 PM

Fire has been extinguished.

Fire was contained to the living area.

No one home at the time of fire.

Crews were alerted to the house fire by a neighbour who call Emergency Triple Zero (000) at 11:51am.

Three pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus van, Hazardous Materials Unit and two commanders on scene.

Update to follow.

Cause of fire deemed to be from an electrical heater.

Estimated damage $20,000.
