Yes folks, as the days get warmer and the sun remains above the horizon for a few minutes longer, cricket season is almost upon us.

And, as such, Ginninderra CC have their first training Sunday 3 September 2006 at 10.30am at Kippax ovals.

Training will go for approximately 90 minutes.

Apparently old Grover is not speaking with a forked tongue.

GCC have done some astute off season negotiating and would appear to have picked up some vewry, very good players.

Expect to see a totally different first grade side on the park this summer.

We had Peter McPhan (cant spell it) Really tall left hand fast bowler. He was a bit of a handfull at times in the nets lol.

Geez Shauno, you must have played when I was a young bloke playing seconds.

Remember big Kenny McLeod? Mate, He was scary fast…. And Bulger, watched from first slip one day as he moosed us for about 220 odd.

Heavs, I’ll see some of the boys on Saturday night so I’ll ask. Not sure if Grover is full of it or not.

We’ll see.

I hear there’s actually a bit of cash to splash around for the Tige’s this year Thumper. Might actually recruit a few players in and have a shot at moving into a realistic finals team. Or is that just Roscoe talking shit again …

Good old GCC. Use to play first grade for them against Michael Bevan and his Western Creek. Other notables of the time where Huntly Armstrong and Marty Haywood both shield players. Back then Bevan was the fastest bowler in the ACT before back injuries forced him to concentrate more on batting and spin. The rest is history.
