Giralang 7-eleven robbed overnight

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Giralang early this morning (Friday 5 June).

About 3.05am, a man entered the 7-Eleven convenience store on Canopus Crescent, Giralang, and threatened a staff member with a hammer, demanding cash. The staff member complied and the offender fled on foot with a sum of cash.

The man was described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 5’7” (170cm) tall and of a medium build. He was wearing a black jacket, dark pants, a black beanie and sunglasses.

ACT Policing and AFP Forensic Services attended and examined the scene. CCTV footage is being sought by police. Investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
