Property Observer has the news that Canberra’s spinning house Girasole has sold for $1.2 million:

The solar powered rotating home in Canberra’s outer-north has sold for $1.2 million.

The sale is believed to be a record price in the suburb of Crace.

The house, called Girasole, is the brainchild of builder John Andriolo and stands at 12 Indi Close.

A mid-May auction campaign failed to attract any bidders.

Pre-auction expectations were above $1 million.

It was bought by a local retired couple – Phillip and Anna Burroughs who are looking to downsize from a much larger house in Nicholls.

Surprised there’s no smart arse comments in here about this sale.

Congrats to the buyers, hope they enjoy peering on their neighbours before spinning away!
