Anyone else heard about a girl being bashed to death in Civic last week (apparently a martial arts expert)

Happened in a car park in Civic

Do they not report major crimes in Canberra?

Now hang on a minute. Are you suggesting that the stories in Playboy (Penthouse maybe?) forums aren’t real? But the ‘I never thought it would happen to me’ line always rang true to me.

Yes Penthouse forums are all crap…except for this one time when my wifes best friend came knocking on my door…dressed only in a

You shouldn’t have given her a gold ring, then.

That might read better if constructed like this….
“I was bashed by a martial arts expert (judging from my wounds) on London Circuit while coming home from Transit a month ago”

Maybe the wounds were very specific with a cracked rib and small bruising over pressure points and nerve bundles which cause coma where he jabbed you with his fingers.

Wouldn’t bother punching someone in the teeth myself – just end up cutting your hand – combined with saliva etc it could get infected.

Glad everyone is having so much fun with this, even if not true. I was bashed by a martial arts expert on London Circuit while coming home from Transit a month ago (judging from my wounds). So far dental expenses just from that incident are looking to be about $8000 … ambulance $750 … so laugh away folks. There are a few dark spots on the streets of Canberra at night where people are preyed on for mobile phones …

And the sad thing is that you cannot be more descriptive without being called racist.

BWA HA HA HA HA.

I love ‘martial artist’ food, particularly kung fu chicken!!!

Cyclists did it.

Hot tip – martial arts experts generally don’t go round bashing people. They have better discipline than that. What you have encountered is called the common street thug – can swing a haymaker and kick you while you are down – very big difference.

It doesn’t take a lot of skills to be effective against Jo average public as most people have no idea how to fight.

How do you know he was a martial arts expert? Was he wearing a gi and his black belt?

I was bashed by a martial arts expert on London Circuit while coming home from Transit a month ago (judging from my wounds).

You can only tell you were bashed a month ago based on the wounds? Were you in a coma?

You’re opposed to people laughing at things that didn’t even happen? You must be a real hit at parties.

Actually, what really happened was that a disgruntled ACT triathlon worker was rider her bike along a shared footpath, when she was hit in the head by the North-side Chronicle that was carelessly and without respect for any “No Junk Mail” sign thrown from a fast moving Ford. She mistakenly took the abuse as coming from some hippy that was on their way to the Folk Festival via the metal-fest at the Basement.

An argument ensued regarding whether or not fish feel pain, and the whole incident was washed clean by some skinny, skanky dude at the lights with a bucket of dirty water, despite the no-one wanting his involvement.

I never find anything funny at 8.58am in the morning…except today…LOL
Thats gold..HA HA

Na na, it is true and it happened. I know because a girl at my work used to go out with a guy whose brother knows the girl.

Not true lobster….everyone knows that we are only one degree of separation from anyone else in Canberra. Have you something to hide………………

The reptoids did it for sure. That’s why it hasn’t made the news media.

Is it wrong that a thread with this subject line is so amusing?

Not bad Brindabella!
(Extra points if you can slip in something about her being affected by radiation while a prisoner at the the palatial AMC.)

..As the skinny, skanky dude walked off, miffed at being snubbed, he muttered under his breath…”Curse that raditation process!?#@ Bruce Banner gets to be the hulk, and I get this!?”…

No no, it wasn’t a murder. She was hit by one of Canberra’s new light rail vehichles (aka – a tram) on Northbourne ave.

Yeah…but when you consider the infinite number of possible things that haven’t happened and haven’t been reported, versus the finite number of things that haven’t happened and have been reported, I’d say that to claim they’re “usually not reported” is, if anything, a little conservative. In other words, for every non-happening thing you can name that’s been reported, I’ll easily name 100 non-happening things that have gone unreported. papadoc is completely right and, whatever the hell “HUA” might be, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t suffer from it. You, on the other hand…

what spectra said – then, for some more perspective, go read some meinong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexius_Meinong)

If you’re getting your ‘news’ from ACA or People mag I think head up bottom is a marginally stronger position

So what you’re tying to say is that people mag doesn’t have informative articles and news. Bugger how will I explain it now.

As for the topic – didn’t happen.

Aaah… the MFP. That filled up a lot of column inches and airwaves back in the day. It’s a shame it never happened.

If you’re getting your ‘news’ from ACA or People mag I think head up bottom is a marginally stronger position

so, where did the rumour start? was that you, papadoc? 😉

Oh jeez, you guys, wheres the love……..

Yes, when they actually happen and aren’t stupid rumours.

Getting your news from toilet walls is not a good idea.

It didn’t happen.

….or maybe it was MOSSAD agents using fake German passports?

There are no murders in the ACT. Move along

I heard Peter Garrett did it, with roofing insulation and some electrical cable…..

Probably because it didn’t happen, I think a chick jumped off one of the car parks, but a martial arts expert bashing her is a better story I guess…
