Official reports are that there were 260,000 people at the Multicultural Festival yesterday for the “food and dance spectacular” more affectionately referred to as “beer and meat on a stick day”.

To the delight of the crowd “chips on a stick” made its debut and indeed I thoroughly enjoyed to Lithuanian innovation of a pickle on a stick.

Given that pretty much all of you were there, and many of you were taking photos why not share them?

Just send them in to images@the-riotact.com .

Here’s what we’ve got so far thanks to Che, Jackal, and possibly Canberra’s foremost photographer of beer, me.

No, you’re thinking of “It’s a Long Way to the Top”.

Hell’s Bells! Bagpipes! Did they warn people?

Definitely an estimation. Much like officials ‘estimate’ the crowds at Sky Fire every yr to be in excess of 100,000 people. Garbage.

Anyone know how they count that many people? or is it just a case of estimating more than the previous year to make it sound more successful?
