Low paid industry equals lots of women.

Though there are many male poets, to be fair.

Just another example of the rampant sexism which exists in society today, but is ignored as it happens to men.

Equality?

Hardly sexism… simple fact is there aren’t that many male Librarians around. The National Library of Australia publishes an annual report that includes staff breakdown by gender – check out page 137 on http://www.nla.gov.au/sites/default/files/national-library-of-australia-annual-report-2011-2012.pdf

I like the picture for Frank Flintoff in the link – he seems like an interesting character!

I think you’ll find #14 is a male!

Once again your headline runs contrary to available studies and evidence, Jb.
Seemingly one of the hurdles for men entering the is that everyone just assumes a male librarian is either gay, ambitionless, socially awkward, or an all-round human failure.
Read more here.
Quit yer bitchin. Someone, somewhere is probably working on it.

Alternate strawman hypothesis for the sake or argument:
All the male librarians are terrible at whichever particular attention-gathering behaviour these awards are an appreciation of. Discuss.

If it was a list of all men you’d never hear the end of it. All women no men? Not a peep and basically celebrated.
