Godwin the great promiser

On top of revelations that it was Godwin Grech who promised the ACT the undelivered funds for the olympic torch relay costs, comes a story in The Age alleging that Godwin’s also been making up Government conditions beneficial for the Western Bulldogs AFL team’s poker machines empire.

Mr Grech, a Bulldogs supporter, became involved in the gaming venue issue when he wrote a letter, at the request of club chief executive Campbell Rose, as part of the push to build the new venue near the Edgewater housing estate and the Highpoint shopping centre.

The Bulldogs have always claimed that a core condition of an $8 million grant from the former Howard government to redevelop their Whitten Oval base was that its pokies be relocated. Mr Grech’s letter purports to confirm this.

But inquiries by The Age have indicated that no such condition exists ? at least not in writing.

It’s amazing what one can get up to when lacking a life isn’t it?

So JB has his life back.

If I ever had I daughter I’d call her ‘Oubliette’, or Oobie for short.

If he’s creating his own conditions on funding and support from the Prime Minister he’s got a seriously over-inflated sense of ego, and brings public funding management process into question.

Really, I think we need a system of gibbets and oubliette pits at the borders of Canberra. Let him stay there until we uncover his innocence.

This is what we like to call rust. When you find rust you have to keep picking at it and sanding it back then suddenly you find more rust and more rust in places you thought there would never be rust then you suddenly realise that the only thing holding the whole shebang was rust so you quickly stop scrubbing and paint over it before selling it before anyone sees.

Keep digging. His head should roll and spit out some more garbage. Once someone falsifies one document they begin to falsify a lot more….

It just keeps going and going and going! What next?!

Probably not, I’m sure he was involved, but I’m also sure they’re overplaying his involvement.

So, people are faking letters from Godwin now? Retrospectively?

Deadmandrinking2:51 pm 07 Aug 09

Latest news indicates that Godwin was also responsible for the holocaust, Kyle Sandilands and Global Warming…

I suspect people may be trying to dump a lot more on him to wash their own hands clean.

I say we nail him to a crossbeam at the entrance to Canberra, as warning to others.

I say we make him Canberra’s mascot.

Here is Godwin, the political wannabe goat………watch him leap up rings of fire during half time in Parliament.

Who wants a Goblin as a mascot?

Maybe he should think Deed Poll,as someone previously suggested,
and move to the Gold Coast.

I was thinking more of a cute little mole with glasses.

Boo hoo, poor Godwin, he’s misunderstood, he was under enormous pressure, he was a good man chewed up by a merciless system, it could happen to you, respect his privacy.

Did I get it right?

The Gold Coast is full of shysters but even they have some standards.

Who wants a Goblin as a mascot?

Maybe he should think Deed Poll,as someone previously suggested,
and move to the Gold Coast.

I’m sure Malcolm will offer him an appraisal/work performance review.

I wonder how Godwins performance reviews went?

Or if anyone would now put their hand up and take some responsibility and accountability regarding these….

I didn’t think so.
