There was an interesting letter in the Canberra Times today. It turns out that because of the inefficiencies and poor patronage on Action buses, the amount of fossil fuels consumed per passenger kilometre was actually higher for bus passengers than it was for people driving their own cars.

Totally agree – not a well-written survey. It can’t possibly have been designed to be useful. Plenty of room at the end for comments, but I don’t see how they’re going to deal with all that data. SIGH!!
