The Greens have submitted a great number of political donations going back to mid 2012 which only overnight appeared on the return of gifts.

And so we have:

1) Sharnie Wu of Lithgow:

2) BJ Weatherstone of O’Connor:

3) Richard Stiles of Lithgow:

4) Neil Gunningham of Hawker:

5) Ethical Jobs of Fitzroy:

6) Michael Cebon of the same address:

7) Lithgow’s Boudi Trust:

For the party that bangs on loudest about disclosure that’s quite a backfill to dump out late on a Friday.

There’s stuff in there going back to mid 2012! Go read the return of gifts (link above) if the image is too small.

I think you’re missing point #2. They are required to report when the total exceeds $1000. They have goofed in one case. Donation #4 exceeded the threshold on the 27th March but they didn’t report it till the 18th June. Whoops, hope they paid their 50 penalty units (unless it’s just a typo?)

And the elections ACT website didn’t post them until after 5.40pm on friday.

So that would be Elections ACT decision then.

A few points:

1. I think you’ll find the 20th was a Thursday.
2. Donations are reported when the total from an individual exceeds $1000.
3. You have 30 days to report the donations and the longest period I can see here is 17 days.
4. Nothing to see here, move along.

At last, hard evidence for the sinister hand of Lithganese influence in our local politics!

No it’s not. Mal Brough spends that much printing dinner party menus.

Clive Palmer dropped $300k on the Libs 3 years ago.

They don’t even have to declare BJ Weatherstone’s donations if they don’t want to, they’re well below the threshold.
