GreenEDGE in Canberra

By johnboy 7 December 2011 3

Andrew Barr is letting us know he’s been out riding with the new GreenEDGE cycling team.

GreenEDGE are going to be competing in the world cycling tours but are partnering with the AIS so we can expect to see the squad around Canberra.

What’s Your opinion?

It is so typical that Australian politicians associate cycling with sport instead of transport. Now are they thinking about our future or votes I wonder?…O of course they think also in terms of safety, as if bikes were a health hazard and they have not noticed a few cars on the road and the statistical link. I think of the link with global warming and the stupidity of this kind of political stunt and how it continues to promote cars above cycling, almost uniquely as a political agenda in the world.

I hope Barr did his share of work and didn’t just bludge off the peloton.
