You know that nagging feeling that you’ve forgotten to do something?

The Greens’ Amanda Bresnan can now worry about one less thing after announcing she’s opened an electoral office in her electorate a mere three years and 11 months after being elected!

The ACT Greens today held a grand opening for their new office located in the Tuggeranong Town Centre.

“It’s really exciting to be opening a Greens office here in my own electorate of Brindabella,” said ACT Greens member for Brindabella, Amanda Bresnan.

No doubt the good people of Tuggeranong are thrilled by the opportunities they will have to raise issues with their MLA over the month remaining until the election.

Oh and she thinks a library for the Lanyon Valley would be a good idea too. Well, actually she thinks a feasability study is the way to go, wouldn’t want to over commit.

Promising a study is a great piece of election weaseling (not that the Greens are Robinson Crusoe on this). You get almost as much buzz as the real thing, but the costs are just for the study.

Brindabella could easily lose labor the election.

I don’t blame her, to most Canberrans, Tuggernong is the place where the banjo duel was filmed for Deliverance.

I hope Amanda won’t leave too much clutter in there out of consideration for Val Jeffery or Burl Doble who will have to clean it all out when they move in after the election.

And talking about The Greens, isn’t Gungahlin Al being very quiet lately? Perhaps he realises that the tide has well and truly gone out and he is fighting a lost cause.

Wow. What a joke. Poor old Tuggers, screwed again!
