The Greens’ Caroline Le Couteur has unveiled her party’s thoughts on planning:

The ACT Greens planning measures include over four years:
— $1 million for amendment of the Territory Plan to aim at the ACT’s greenhouse gas reduction targets
— $366,000 for construction industry education during the transition to energy efficient buildings
— $200,000 to connect communities through neighbourhood planning
— $20,000 to engage with the plumbing industry in changing over to energy efficient hot water
— $100,000 to research and introduce planning changes to make housing more affordable
— $800,000 for better planning advocacy and support
— $301,000 to Build it Better – proactive prosecution and remediation of building faults, especially for multi-unit development regulation and enforcement

You have to love:

– $20,000 to engage with the plumbing industry in changing over to energy efficient hot water

What the? Is that to chuck a barbie and pay for a few beers with the plumbers?
The Greens are not the solution, they are a part of the problem.

– $200,000 to connect communities through neighbourhood planning

Stupid Greens. That’s what neighbourhood schools do, including the ones closed by Andrew Barr and kept closed by the Greens.

Here is another useless policy announcement from the Greens.

Vote for these losers – which lets face it is a vote for ACT Labor – and guarantee you will see us all paying more (and more and more) for rates, parking, transport and penalised for anything deemed to be not Green approved.

$100,000 to research and introduce planning changes to make housing more affordable?

That doesn’t even buy a third of a house!
