Greyhounds need homes

Posted for a Greyhound Rescuer:

30 greyhounds urgently need homes or foster care. All are ex-racers who have been dumped by breeders for not performing. Unfortunately, the current carer has received notice from her local council. If new homes or carers cannot be found urgently, most of these greyhounds will be impounded and put down. All of the greyhounds have been temperament tested.

Greyhounds make excellent pets, are very loyal and easy to look after.
If you can help, please phone Janet on 02 9453 0602 or 0412 562 104 for more details.

Sorry: My block will not fit a Greyhound.

Any relation to the following?

If I wasn’t renting, I’d take some in a snap.

Try both the Canberra and NSW Greyhound Adoption Programs. RSPCA might take some [I know an RSPCA shelter on the coast somewhere took a whole bunch of greyhounds in a similar situation a couple of months ago]. There are a few other greyhound rescue groups around NSW that I’m sure would try their hardest to help out.

That’s very sad…. I hope they find homes.

Unfortunately the animal sanctuary that my kids call home here is very, very full of many and varied creatures 🙂
