Expect some possble delays if you take Gungahlin Drive home.

Motorists and other road users are advised Roads ACT is this afternoon finalising road surfacing repairs to a short section of the northbound lanes on the Gungahlin Drive Extension just past the bridge over the Barton Highway.

Two of the three northbound lanes will be closed to traffic until about 4.30 pm.

The works were originally scheduled to finish at 4 pm but have taken longer than expected. It is necessary to complete the works this afternoon so safe driving conditions can be re-established.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.

Roads ACT appreciates motorists’ patience and apologises for any inconvenience.

The marker shows where the lane closure began. The on-ramp from Barton Highway, and the LH lane of traffic all had to merge to the right. The text describes where the repair work was taking place.

When will they fix the dip southbound at Glenloch Interchange?

diagram is wrong. it’s the bit just past the the other side of the bridge on GDE. the same dip in the road that has been there for the past year. they have tried to fix it twice but it continues to deteriorate after a few months.

Either the description is wrong or the map has tagged the wrong location.
The tag is before the intersection, not “just past” it. If the tag is correct and the description is wrong then anyone thinking to just use the section northbound and then change to the Barton Highway is in for a world of pain.

I suspect that the text is correct based on the description having two of three lanes closed.

lets see if they can fix it properly this time around. 3rd time lucky i suppose?
