A 26-year-old man has been charged with aggravated robbery following a successful extradition from NSW by ACT Policing detectives yesterday (Tuesday, June 21).

Police will allege the man committed the aggravated robbery at the Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club on May 28 this year.

The man, in company with two other men, entered the golf club and threatened staff before leaving with a sum of money.

On Thursday (June 16), New South Wales police arrested the male in Newcastle. ACT Policing members successfully applied for the male’s extradition to the ACT before the Newcastle Local Court yesterday.

He was conveyed to the ACT Watch House and will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with aggravated robbery.

Was he driving a white late model commodore when captured. Trust me, its a dead giveaway nowadays

I won’t get excited until they’ve been convicted, and then put in the slammer.

Well done the Plod.

Excellent work, some newbies taken off the streets before they hurt someone.

Fantastic result for the AFP folk – and a great result for the Community at large. Now, for the Judiciary to do their part!!!
