Gungahlin mugging

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the aggravated robbery of a man in Gungahlin early this morning (Saturday, 23 July).

Around 12.30am the 29-year-old Gungahlin man was walking along Flemington Road near the round-a-bout at Hibberson Street when he was approached from behind and pushed to the ground by two men.

The offenders demanded he hand over wallet and phone. The man gave the offenders the items, along with his backpack and they ran off.

One of the offenders is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 165cm (5’5”) tall with blond spiky hair and wearing a black leather jacket.

The second offender was described as being Indian Sub-Continental in appearance, 178cm (5’10”) tall with a large build.

ACT Policing urges anyone who have seen men matching these descriptions near Flemington road around 12.30am to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
